Billing & plans
PromptSpotter bills per seat, per month. No long-term contracts, no minimums beyond your current plan’s seat count. This page covers what each plan includes, how trials work, and how to change or cancel.
The plans
- Free — up to 5 seats, forever. All built-in detection, the admin console, and 30 days of event history. No card required.
- Business — $5/seat/month billed annually, or $8/seat/month billed monthly. Unlimited seats, custom rules, 12 months of event history, priority email support.
- Enterprise — custom pricing. Includes everything in Business plus SSO/SAML, custom data residency, a signed DPA, a dedicated support contact, and security questionnaire help. Talk to us.

The 14-day trial
Every Business plan starts with a 14-day free trial — you get the full feature set with no card required upfront. We’ll email you a reminder before the trial ends so you can add a card or downgrade to the Free plan. If you do nothing, your workspace simply drops back to Free — we’ll never charge a card we don’t have on file.
Change plan
- Sign in as an Owner and open Billing.
- Click Change plan and pick the plan you want.
- For upgrades, the new plan kicks in immediately and we pro-rate the rest of the current billing period.
- For downgrades, the new plan takes effect at the start of your next billing period — you keep paid features until then.
Cancel any time
Cancellation lives on the same Billing page — click Cancel subscription and confirm. Your workspace stays on the paid plan until the end of the current billing period, then drops to Free automatically. Your team keeps all their data; they just lose access to the Business-only features.
We don’t lock you out, delete your data, or revoke extensions when you cancel. The worst thing that happens is the admin console becomes read-only on Business-only views.
Refunds
Plain version: we don’t refund partial periods. If you cancel mid-month on a monthly plan, you keep the plan until the end of the month and that’s it. If you cancel mid-year on an annual plan, the unused months are not refunded — you keep access for the rest of the year you paid for. This is consistent with our Terms of Service; if you think your situation is exceptional (we billed by mistake, a duplicate charge, a clear product failure), email info@promptspotter.com and we’ll sort it.
Invoices and VAT
Every charge generates an invoice you can download from the Billing page. If your company needs a VAT number on invoices, add it in Settings → Company details before your next billing date and it’ll be reflected on subsequent invoices.
