Invite teammates
PromptSpotter uses setup links instead of password resets. You enter a teammate’s email, pick a role, and they get a single link that installs the extension and signs them in — no support ticket, no password to forget.
Invite one teammate
- Sign in to the admin console and open Team from the left sidebar.
- Click Invite teammate in the top right.
- Enter their work email address.
- Pick a role — Viewer, Admin, or Owner (see roles below).
- Click Send invite. They’ll receive a magic link by email.
Roles, in plain English
- Viewer — can see the dashboard, activity log, and insights, but can’t change policy or invite people. Good default for security or compliance folks who want visibility without write access.
- Admin — everything Viewer has, plus the ability to change policies, write custom rules, and invite teammates.
- Owner — everything Admin has, plus billing access and the ability to delete the workspace. Most teams have one or two owners.
Bulk invites with a setup link
For larger rollouts, generate a setup link instead of inviting people one by one:
- Go to Settings → Setup links.
- Click Create setup link. Pick the role new joiners should get, set an expiry, and optionally cap the number of uses.
- Copy the link and paste it into your team Slack, an onboarding doc, or a calendar invite.
- Anyone who opens the link is walked through extension install and is auto-signed-in to your workspace.
Setup links are tied to your email domain. If someone outside your verified domain opens the link, they’ll be prompted to verify their email first.
If a teammate didn’t receive the invite
Magic-link emails sometimes land in spam or get filtered by overzealous gateways. The fastest fix:
- On the Team page, find the pending invite and click Resend.
- If it still doesn’t arrive, copy the setup link from Settings and share it directly — that skips email entirely.
Next: write custom detection rules for your team’s specific data.
